Web Site News

Note our new E-mail address. It is now:

whearsoc@bigpond.com

This issue includes some very interesting articles.

Take a look at Barb Ryan's Ménière's Support Group in the Newsletter: it's chock-a-block full of interesting news.

Read about World Action on Salt and Health and four pages on Low Salt Foods.

Is the web site a good, new look and even better than last quarter's? If it is (or not), let the Webmaster know? He is interested to know what you think. Send an E-mail to: redbackwebstudio@westnet.com.au

"Links" has been added to the web site for Deafness Forum, Word of Mouth, Better Hearing of Australia and Australian Hearing.

Three overseas and two Australian sites have also been removed. Check the Links above and if you should find a link not working, let the Webmaster know.

We have found a web site for the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Foundation. It is one of the oldest medical associations in the United States. Especially interesting is the 'Museum' page with information on hearing appliances/aids dating back to 1588 and described as being made of wood and shaped like the ears of animals that were known to have acute hearing. This site has been added to Links above.

As a recently introduced feature, an 'Archive' has been developed and we are continually adding articles on Tinnitus from earlier Newsletters.

NOTE: You may have a web browser that does not display everything that's on these pages. You'll need to install Flash Player to get the best view. | more |

If you have any articles you think may be of interest and would like included in the web site, contact Sue Ward at the Society.
